Nashville Homes for Sale - MLS Mapping System Search Tips

Nashville Homes has already setup mapping views of many of the area Communities and spectacular Luxury Subdivisions for your convenience, located on the left navigation menu, or you can create your own custom search by going to anyone of the map pages and entering your specific search criteria. 

The Interactive MLS Map is a leading property search mapping system. The great feature here is that each time you change your home search parameters the map will repopulate with the yellow icons that represent links to homes that match your search profile. You can view the detailed MLS listing results for the homes that appear on the map by selectings the "Go To Search Results" button below the property features area at the bottom.

If you scroll down a little further you can then select the property type, i.e. single family home or condo, and then select the minimum number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Each time you make a change the map will repopulate with only the homes that match your search criteria.

The price range drop down menus, at the bottom center portion of the map, will allow you to narrow down the price range you are looking at (i.e.-$200,000 to $350,000) or whatever price range you choose, this will then show in red the total number of listings currently available at the top.  Once you have the desired price range selected, click the "Go To Search Results" button at the bottom to view all of the available homes in this area.  Use the go back button on your internet browser to return back to the interactive map in order to revise the criteria further if desired, and then select the "Go To Search Results" to once again view the available homes.

You can also zoom in for greater detail. Utilize the +/- scroll bar on the left side of the map, or if you want to select a specific area just place your mouse at what will be the top left hand corner of a new search box you are about to draw. Left click on the mouse and continue to hold down the left click and move the mouse diagonally to the right and you will see a shaded area start to appear. When you have the desired new search area release the left click and the map will reset to the new search area using the same parameters as before.

You'll notice that the smaller map to the right will show your new search area in grey. If you click on the small grey "box" you can actually reposition your search again. Just left click on your mouse and hold down and them move the mouse and the square grey area will move too. The big map to the left will then show the new search area. If you want to zoom in again just repeat the steps above and again until you get right down to street level!

Re-centering the map can be done by clicking on any of the black borders and the map will be nudged north or whichever direction you require! You can also click on the smaller map shaded area and drag the search area to a new starting point.

"Search Saver"  If you would like to make any changes to your current search parameters just log in and click on "Search Savers" and then "Edit This Search", you will then be taken back to the Map Search page where you can adjust the search criteria. Be sure that you save your homes in your “Favorites”.  Signup is easy, and it is also free.

Foreclosures & Short Sales - When searching select the "Foreclosures" tab on the Interactive map to view the available foreclosed real estate in the Nashville area, along with Homes and properties that are in Short Sale by selecting the "Short Sales" box below. You can also browse foreclosures and short sales by town, subdivision, zip code, and area by changing your search type.
