With close proximity to the lively city of Nashville, excellent schools, several recreational activities, beautiful Brentwood, TN homes for sale, and community organizations, life in Brentwood is a truly rich experience. As noted by the Brentwood City Mayor Joe Reagan, each and every citizen of Brentwood is important to the continued improvement of the city's quality of life. The city is wholeheartedly committed to provide both assistance and quality services to make the city an ideal place to live and work.

A prosperous region of Williamson County, adjacent to the southern boundary of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County, Brentwood has a long history as an affluent community. Its fertile soils gave rise to an opulence that saw the construction of big, stately homes, many of which were host to civil war action.

After the war, many of the estates in Brentwood fell to ruin, owing largely to the costs of the war effort. But Brentwood TN real estate was rediscovered in the early twentieth century and, especially with the construction of the Interstate in the 1960's, has regained its position as one of the state of Tennessee's richest areas.

People who live in Brentwood, TN homes have excellent access to recreation programs, facilities, and parks run by the Williamson County Parks & Recreation Department. Brentwood residents can participate in the many sports programs offered including adult basketball, adult softball, adult volleyball, tennis, youth basketball, youth softball, youth volleyball, racquetball, adult soccer, flag football, lacrosse, sports fields, trails for walking or biking, playgrounds, and more...

In 1998, the city opened an $8 million state-of-the-art public library located in the 40-acre Concord Park. This part also features beautiful landscape with paved walking and biking paths.Just 5 miles south of Brentwood off I-65 is the Cool Springs area, which is the shopping Mecca of the Cool Springs Galleria.

Cool Springs Galleria is middle Tennessee’s largest mall located only minutes from the heart of Brentwood or downtown Franklin and has over 165 specialty stores including American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Abercrombie & Fitch, Coldwater Creek, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor, and over 20 eateries at the 500-seat Oasis Food Court. Major department stores located within the Galleria include Macy's, Belks, formerly Hecht's, Sears, JCPenney, Dillard's, and Parisians.

Brentwood residents enjoy close proximity to two large shopping malls and several factory outlet stores. When it comes to dining out, Brentwood offers over 60 restaurants to please a wide variety of palettes. Travelers can benefit from the proximity to the Nashville International Airport at only 16 miles away.
